Bipartisan Policy Center

The Bipartisan Policy Center is a non-profit organization that combines the best ideas from both parties to promote health, security, and opportunity for all Americans. BPC drives principled and politically viable policy solutions through the power of rigorous analysis, painstaking negotiation, and aggressive advocacy.

As a Washington, D.C.-based think tank that actively promotes bipartisanship, BPC works to address the key challenges facing the nation. Our policy solutions are the product of informed deliberations by former elected and appointed officials, business and labor leaders, and academics and advocates who represent both ends of the political spectrum. We are currently focused on health, energy, national security, the economy, financial regulatory reform, housing, immigration, infrastructure, and governance.

Campaign for a Presidential Youth Council

The Campaign for a Presidential Youth Council is a bi-partisan, youth-led initiative, to establish a Presidential Youth Council, comprised of young Americans ages 16-24, to advise the President on the perspectives of youth, offer suggestions on the design and implementation of youth policies, and to create shared recommendations on issues that will affect the long-term future of our country.

Congress of Tomorrow

Congress of Tomorrow proposes the creation of a Joint Committee on the Organization of Congress to bring about transformational changes, and in turn, to renew the American people’s faith in their congressional leaders. This bipartisan committee will be charged with finding solutions that will make Congress work, and creating a pathway for their final consideration by Congress and, when appropriate, the President. We believe this fundamental overhaul is necessary to make Congress as a whole more accountable to the American people. We’ll bring Congress together, closely examine the way it works, and make vital changes to propel our nation forward.

Fairvote

FairVote is a nonpartisan champion of electoral reforms that give voters greater choice, a stronger voice, and a representative democracy that works for all Americans.

FairVote advances and wins electoral reforms at the local, state, and national level through strategic research, communications and collaboration. Today we are the driving force behind advancing ranked choice voting and fair representation in multi-winner legislative districts that will open up our elections to better choices, fairer representation and more civil campaigns.

National Popular Vote

National Institute for Civil Discourse

The National Institute for Civil Discourse (NICD) integrates research, practice and policy to support and engage:

  • Elected officials who are capable of working to solve the big issues facing our country.

  • A public that demands civil discourse as well as government that works in the best interests of the country as a whole.

  • A media that informs citizens in a fair and responsible way.

NICD works with Congress, state legislatures and the American public.

No Labels

No Labels is dedicated to activating citizens and organizing leaders around a new politics of problem solving. Specifically, No Labels has worked to cultivate a durable bipartisan bloc in Congress capable of pushing forward bipartisan legislation and pushing back on the extremes on both sides that are tearing the nation apart. No Labels took a big step toward achieving this goal when we inspired the creation of the bipartisan House Problem Solvers Caucus in 2017, which currently features 48 members, evenly divided between the parties.

No Labels is currently focusing on the “Speaker Project” under the premise that no real change will come to Washington until congressional rules are changed in a way that forces the body Congress to be responsive to the will of the American people.

No Labels is mobilizing citizens to make their vote for any House candidate contingent on that candidate’s support for a speaker nominee who will commit to real rules changes that provide an opening for bipartisan ideas and legislation.
